Senior Manager, FP&A
The Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A will play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. This individual will be responsible for budgeting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and performance reporting, ensuring financial alignment with company goals. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of construction industry financials, including project-based revenue recognition, job costing, and cash flow management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
- Perform variance analysis, profitability assessments, and scenario modeling to support executive decision-making.
- Partner with project managers and operations leaders to provide financial insights on project performance, cost control, and risk management.
- Monitor cash flow trends, optimize working capital, and support treasury functions.
- Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and KPI analyses for senior leadership and board meetings.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis, industry trends, and competitive benchmarking.
- Identify and implement process improvements in FP&A, reporting, and financial systems.
- Support due diligence, financial modeling, and integration efforts for potential acquisitions and capital investments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience within construction, manufacturing, or a relevant strategy/management consulting environment.
- Strong understanding of project-based financials, revenue recognition (percentage of completion), and cost controls.
- Experience with performance management dashboards and development of KPIs
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP and BI tools (e.g., Sage, Procore, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
- Proven track record in process improvement, system implementations, and cross-functional collaboration.
