Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial
statements like balance sheets, invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Their duties include directing the accounting, financial operations team, compiling financial reports based on financial statements, budgeting, and implementing policies and procedures for financial accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
? Structure and manage the accounting and bookkeeping team.
? Secures the company’s financial information.
? Implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
? Request and apply credits to accounts.
? Apply broker commission to leasing and sales deals.
? Submit payments for commission and office bills in a timely manner.
? Reconcile bank accounts.
? Submit and oversee payroll while taking into account employee PTO.
? Tracking and submitting invoices.
? Vendor management and payment.
? Communicate with clients in regards to bills and fees.
? Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business.
? Oversee on-boarding and off-boarding of inventory.
? Formulate and track the company and departmental budgets.
? Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
? Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Employee Relations:
? Manage, train and delegate accounting/bookkeeping team effectively when needed.
? Supervise employees in accounting related manners to ensure productivity.
Responsibilities:
? A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, accounting or finance. Masters CPA recommended but not required.
? 3-5 years’ experience in a financial setting, such as; accountant, financial analyst, financial planner, accounting manager.
? High competence with and use systems/tools.
? Proficiency in Quickbooks or similar software.
? Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
? Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
? Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations or the ability to learn basic understanding of contracts.
? Must be detail-oriented and a motivated self-starter.
? Must have the ability to multi-task and work independently.
? High level of organization skills and time management.
? Ability to handle a large volume of emails with strong interpersonal and business communication skills.
? Advanced math skills to make accurate calculations and estimates.
? Ability to manage and resolve conflict.
