Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for the monthly general ledger closing in addition to the preparation of all journal entries.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly general ledger closing, including preparation of journal entries
- General Ledger Account Reconciliations
- Bank Reconciliations
- Internal and external reporting
- Special projects as pertains to business needs
- Providing general assistance to Accounting Department
- Work beyond the narrow and specific job responsibilities to advance the goals of the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
- 3+ years of general ledger experience
- Property Management and/or residential construction experience a plus
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office [Excel, Word, Outlook] and Quickbooks
- Detail oriented and hands-on
