Property Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed monthly and year-end work papers
• Review general ledger activity and perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Manage accruals and cash basis accounting functions
• Reconcile accounts, expenses, and prepare monthly & quarterly reports
• Review monthly budget to actual variance reports and prepare variance explanations
• Review bank loan balances, as well as escrows & reserves
• Monitor daily cash position of multiple bank accounts
• Review and approve all payables
• Review tenant ledgers and reconcile billings
• Maintain fixed asset ledger and tenant amortizations
• Ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of residential property accounting experience
• Proficiency in Yardi Voyager is required
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to work both independently and as a team
