Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Oversight and management of engineering, capital and construction projects for a real estate portfolio in the New York Metro Area
• Control project costs by obtaining, reviewing and leveling contractor bids, tracking expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
• Determine project specifications by studying existing conditions, engineering plans/drawings, product design, work requirements, and performance standards.
• Maintain project schedule and plan by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
• Complete technical studies and prepares cost estimates.
• Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain project database.
• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related field
• 8-10 years of project experience working in the construction industry required
• Experience with commercial real estate properties including retail and office.
