Project Engineer / Development Coordinator


A growing real estate development and investment firm is seeking a highly organized Project Engineer / Development Coordinator to support its development, design, and construction teams. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys the operational side of project delivery and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:



  • Maintain project documentation, file organization, and drawing revisions across multiple active developments.
  • Review General Contractor AIA pay applications and verify supporting documentation, including lien waivers, prior to payment.
  • Manage project logs, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and action items.
  • Coordinate internal and Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings, prepare agendas, record meeting minutes, and track follow-up items.
  • Support the Design Lead with AutoCAD production, including drawing layouts, finish schedules, and product cut sheets.
  • Assemble project closeout packages, including as-built drawings, warranties, manuals, and related documentation.
  • Ensure project records remain accurate, organized, and up to date throughout the development lifecycle.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Construction Coordinator with a reputable general contractor or real estate developer.
  • Experience with AIA pay applications, construction documentation, and project coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and document control.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
