Job Description
Parking Garage Manager
Privately held developer, manager and owner of commercial real estate is looking for an experienced Parking Garage Manager to service, manage and operate two garage locations in Manhattan.
Responsibilities:
- The position is responsible for managing, coordinating and maintaining the operations of two parking facilities in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Manage, implement and supervise all daily parking operations and staff.
- Perform daily counts of cars in the garage and validate computer's count.
- Organize, maintain, and reconcile parking transactions, both manually and through automated methods.
- Manage claims process, limit liability and maintain overall safety in the facility.
- Train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate garage attendant staff.
- Provide technical assistance and work direction to support personnel.
- Maintenance of pay on foot revenue control equipment.
- Upkeep and maintenance of the facility.
- Operate office equipment (e.g., computer terminal and peripheral equipment, calculator, copier, etc.).
- Prepare and record daily transactions.
- Assist in collecting, reporting and depositing revenues received at the facility.
- Perform activities, functions and other related tasks and duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of previous parking management and customer relations experience.
- Ability to operate and maintain pay on foot revenue control equipment.
- Skilled in maintenance and the upkeep of a facility.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to direct and manage the work of others including staffing schedules.
- Knowledge of parking garage record-keeping procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and ordinances related to cashiering and garage operations.
- Knowledge and ability in the use of Ticketech System, computer and software applications.
- Prior experience with third party parking aggregators reports and processes.
- Ability to maintain records and to prepare accurate reports and correspondence.
- Valid driver's license.
