Corporate Accounting Manager - Commercial Real Estate

Growing Commercial Real Estate firm is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to lead its corporate financial reporting and general ledger functions

Responsibilities:

• Oversee corporate accounting activities, including general ledger management, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor and manage corporate cash flow across multiple entities and operating accounts
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses
• Review and manage accruals to ensure proper revenue and expense recognition
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures in accordance with GAAP
• Coordinate and manage annual audits, ensuring timely delivery of audit requests and documentation
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and increase reporting accuracy
• Support company-wide initiatives including system enhancements, automation, and special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience within commercial real estate
• Understanding of real estate financial operations, including commissions, brokerage activity, and revenue recognition
• Proven supervisory / managerial experience
• Proficiency with real estate accounting software such as Yardi or AppFolio
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
