EXECUTIVE MANAGER
FOUNDATION
WASHINGTON D.C.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To learn the foundation’s history and activities in detail
- To handle the logistic, administrative, communicational, and organizational aspects of the Fellowship
- Scheduling the itinerary and managing the entire U.S. fellowship program, agenda, including speakers, visits and meals
- Preparing and monitoring the budget
- Communication, oral, written, and in person, with all parties involved in the fellowship, including speakers, travel agencies, catering, etc.
- Constant involvement and communication with past and present Fellows, engaging them in discussion, and assigning tasks – proactively
- Overseeing the Fellows’ action projects
- Handling the Foundation’s social media (Facebook, Twitter, the website and the website's forum)
- Assisting with the writing of a monthly newsletter
- Arranging special events throughout the year that build relationships with all of the International parties
- Participating with the International parties to enhance the vision and strategic plan to guide the foundation
- Developing effective teamwork between the Board, the Chairman, and the foundation overseas
- Functioning as the liaison to the accountants relating to all regulatory and tax issues
- Administering the foundation's funds in accordance with the budget
- Maintaining and developing relationships with Members of Congress and their staff, think tanks, business groups, the media and other foundations
- Working on an effective fund raising program
- Interviewing and pre-screening prospective candidates
- Administrative functions including printing, filing, preparing and editing documents
- Coordinating and supervising staff both for the foundation and for the family office
- Managing the Chairman's appointments, schedule and travel arrangements
- Functioning as the liaison between Europe, US and the Middle East
- Traveling with the Chairman as necessary
- Raising money for the foundation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 6 years of relative experience working for a foundation or family office
- At least 5 years of fund raising experience for a foundation or not for profit
- Bright, with strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Must be willing to travel as occasionally to Europe and the Middle East
- Must have a positive, "can do" attitude
- Able to multitask and work in a fast paced high energy environment
- Flexible to work as necessary to support a very dynamic, successful international businessman
- Extremely detail oriented and able to anticipate problems and provide solutions
