Director of Technology

Essential Functions:
  • Evaluate existing and identify new software that will improve productivity in-house of real estate development, project management and planning.
  • Strengthen company brand by advising and implementing cutting edge applications and products for portfolio of real estate development properties.
  • Provide support for all systems (whether for real estate properties or core in-house team), including management of third party tech vendors.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct the firm' s strategic technological direction, development, and future growth.
  • Establish technical vision and lead all aspects of technological development.
  • Analyze business needs and recommend technical solutions; consult with all internal departments regarding technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan deployment of new technology, creating implementation plans and training, and providing ongoing support
  • Ensure consistency and maintenance of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between vendors and end users; maintain strong working relationships with outside vendors.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’ s degree or equivalent in a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in the real estate technology arena, including at least 5 years management and strategic experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 platform and applications, including SharePoint
  • Strong knowledge of project and property management software and dashboard systems: Microsoft Project, Honest Buildings, OnSite
  • Strong knowledge of financial software: Yardi, Quickbooks
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to think and act strategically and proactively
  • Strong ability to actively inspire and motivate all levels of staff to adapt to new platforms
