DIRECTOR OF CAPITAL MARKETS
SUMMARY:
The Director of Capital Markets will recruit prospective & qualified investors and raise and close equity capital. Investor recruitment will have a strong focus on high-net-worth individuals, family offices and wealth management firms. Investment vehicles include private syndications, funds, and capital calls on existing assets in the portfolio. The Director of Capital Markets will report to the CEO and work regularly with other members of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit a steady flow of new qualified investors with a primary focus on high-net-worth individuals, family offices and wealth management firms, and similar non-institutional investors.
- Raise limited partner equity capital from recruited investors.
- Collaborate with acquisition and asset management teams to form an in-depth understanding of both new and existing properties.
- Maintain an extensive understanding of the investor marketplace.
- Effectively network and communicate at regional keynote conferences/related events that will increase brand awareness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience establishing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, Independent Registered Investment Advisors/wealth management firms, and other similar non-institutional investors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Results-oriented
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Proven ability to multitask and understand new concepts
- Experience with public speaking engagements and prior sales training development
