Director of Leasing - Retail Portfolio

Responsibilities:

• Lead leasing efforts and provide guidance to associates
• Identify opportunities for improved property performance
• Identify new tenant relationships
• Develop merchandise plans and leasing strategies for each property
• Conduct on-site tours and meet with prospective tenants
• Negotiate lease terms and ensure seamless execution
• Manage lease amendments and renewals
• Communicate tactfully, skillfully, and persuasively with third-party brokers, ownership entities, prospective and existing tenants, and local, regional, and corporate employees of all levels
• Work cross functionally with the in-house Asset Management, Legal, Property Management, Lease Administration, and Acquisition teams
• Keep current on evolving retail trends and maintain knowledge of local competition
• Attend local, regional, and national deal making functions
• Coordinate tenant interviews and competition studies for new acquisitions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• 5+ years of retail leasing experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong time management and negotiating skills
• Must have relationships with national retailers
• Able to provide a detailed deal-sheet
• Knowledge of merchandising, deal structures and lease terminology
• Experience negotiating LOI’s and leases
