Controller – Real Estate

A well-established and growing real estate investment and property management firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations. This position is responsible for managing financial reporting and accounting functions for a diversified portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes across the property portfolio
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing and collections
• Maintain and reconcile multiple bank accounts
• Conduct financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
• Collaborate with property and asset management teams to support financial performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in real estate accounting, preferably within a property management environment
• Proficiency with integrated property management/accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, or RealPage is strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
