Job Description
Bookkeeper – Real Estate
Responsibilities:
- Process, record and classify monthly credit card activity
- DHCR annual rent registration filing
- Bi-monthly payroll processing
- Weekly payroll; record payroll from third party service provider including benefits and 32BJ union.
- Management of quarterly tax filings and NYSIF audits
- Process requests for annual compilations, reviews and audits from CPA firm
- Process property billbacks
- Manage & record daily transactions and recurring items
- Bank reconciliation research requests for review/correction
- Ad-hoc duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience; real estate experience is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Proficiency in Yardi is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Highly motivated, adaptable and dependable
