Bookkeeper - Real Estate

NJ-based Real Estate Developer with residential, retail, commercial and industrial projects is seeking a full-charge Bookkeeper.

Responsibilities:

• Record and review all daily transactions into accounting software, ensuring that all transactions are properly captured.
• Monitor all bank accounts and booking of cash transactions.
• Prepare financial statements and perform month-close duties
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Report on budgets and performance upon request.
• Prepare cash reconciliations for numerous bank accounts.
• Maintain cash management, general ledgers, and bank accounts.
• Report daily cash activity.
• Assist in accounting functions for multiple entities.
• Ad hoc requests/special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience; real estate industry experience is preferred
• Experience managing accounts payable/receivable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
