Assistant Property Manager


Our client is seeking a capable and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the General Property Manager and Senior Assistant Property Manager in the day-to-day operations and long-term planning for a large, well-established co-op building in New York City.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in managing the daily operations of a large co-op property, including maintenance, resident relations, and administrative duties.
  • Support the implementation of large-scale capital improvement projects and long-term building upgrades.
  • Handle accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes.
  • Participate in employee oversight, including performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Correspond with shareholders, residents, vendors, and building staff.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for building operations and compliance.
  • Utilize Excel for reporting, data tracking, and analysis.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure high-quality service and timely completion of work.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years of property management experience in residential buildings of 300+ units in New York City; co-op/condo experience is preferred.
  • Experience with AR, AP, staff supervision, and building operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Familiarity with NYC building codes, regulations, and co-op operations preferred.
