Job Description
Asset Manager - LIHTC
The Asset Manager will manage assets in the development phase within a portfolio of low-income housing tax credit projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Analyze financial statements and perform analysis
- Manage construction, lease-up, stabilization, and loan conversions.
- Monitor property data
- Monitor and calculate credit delivery
- Monitor properties for ongoing compliance with partnership agreements
- Maintain detailed knowledge of LIHTC program compliance requirements
- Review general partner requests on potential deal changes
- Collect tax returns and audits to coordinate review and approval
- Ensure projects remain in balance during the development process
- Review monthly construction draws and process equity installments
- Work with internal and external partners to project future equity timing and needs
- Special projects as requested
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, real estate, or a related field
- 2+ years of direct experience working with Section 42 (LIHTC) properties in asset management, public accounting, multifamily property management, or development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact with senior leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Strong attention to detail
