Accounts Payable Coordinator
Summary

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager and Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Coordinator assists in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department specifically with Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of invoices, including input, approval and GL coding
  • Review and correction of A/P data entry
  • Post A/P batches to general ledger
  • Inform property manager about chargebacks required for tenant utility bills received. Follow up as needed to ensure tenant is chargeback is processed prior to payment.
  • Distribution and maintenance of vendor invoices on hold report.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and insure resolution of any problems.
  • Assist in preparation and submission of 1099 and 1096 Forms
  • Maintenance of vendor W-9 information/forms
  • Maintain utility and trash spreadsheet
  • Communicate utility and same day check payment requirements
  • Scanning/Filing/copying
  • Provide general assistance to the Accounting Manager and A/P Supervisor
  • Special projects as required.
  • Work beyond the narrow and specific job responsibilities to advance the goals of the company.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • High school diploma; College degree or courses in accounting a plus
  • Property management and/or residential construction experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 1099/1096 process experience
  • General ledger coding experience
  • Strong administrative and organization skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Work in a proactive manner
