Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare CPI monthly financial statements on a consolidated basis and by departments.
- Working closely with the management companies, provide meaningful analysis and explanations of variances to get behind the numbers and obtain an operational understanding that will be presented to ownership.
- Core monthly financial statements, develop and maintain event profitability analysis, labor utilization analysis, budgets, weekly cash forecasts, reporting on a consolidated and per unit basis, and other operational reports as needed.
- Account for CPI’s revenue, expenses and balance sheet accounts. Review food and Beverage (F&B”) preliminary closing reports and after resolving any irregularities with the F&B manager obtain the final reports and consolidate with hotel performance using the hotel management company’s financial accounting software.
- Maintain accounting, analyze activity and report by tracking cash, managing distributions, reporting on a consolidated and townhouse unit basis.
- Maintain accounting, analyze activity and report on the HOA, billing unit owners, processing expenses, tracking cash, monthly and annual financial reporting and support the financial statement audit.
- Assist with the accounting for the entity that owns the units, support attorney with document requests relating to sale of units.
Requirements:
- 4 – 6 years of accounting experience working with ledgers, journal entries, trial balances, financial statements and analysis, budgeting.
- Weekly site travel to Hamptons, NY and days per week at either location will vary based on activity at properties.
- Hospitality industry experience is ideal, real estate experience would be preferred.
- Ability to work well with others within and outside of the organization (i.e. management company accounting personnel and operations personnel), maintaining the exiting culture.
- Strong communication skills, a team player, cultural fit is a must.
