Corporate Controller
Summary:
The Corporate Controller is responsible for all aspects of accounting for the assigned entities. The Corporate Controller will perform the day-to-day accounting and financial processes related to the corporate entities while also preparing variance analyses, capital planning, corporate forecasts, accounts payable, cash management and budgets.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the monthly financial statements and variance analysis for multiple entities with accuracy and within the required time frame
- Maintain monthly workpapers
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, apply revenue recognition accounting, review GL data, and post journal entries
- Maintain the corporate forecasts and budget models for analysis and capital planning purposes
- Review monthly draw packages
- Work with outside accountants to ensure tax filings are prepared timely
- Ensure AP is timely paid
- Prepare wires as necessary and address other cash management tasks including account opening and management and other administrative duties
- Maintain processes, procedures, and reports needed to maintain accurate accounting records.
- Work on special projects that will surface from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
- 4+ years of corporate accounting experience
- CPA license REQUIRED
- Strong Excel skills
- Yardi experience preferred
- Detail oriented, self-starter, and solutions oriented
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to work with all levels of the organization across all departments
