Financial Analyst

 

Rapidly growing private-equity real estate investment firm specializing in affordable housing and land development is seeking a Financial Analyst

 

The Financial Analyst will assist the CFO with financial analysis, deal underwriting and management reporting, while also having responsibility for the company’s investor portal and communications. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both the operational and strategic aspects of the business, providing exposure to a diverse range of responsibilities within a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive deal underwriting for real estate investments, including financial analysis using excel modeling to evaluate the feasibility and potential profitability of prospective acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Prepare detailed underwriting packages, outlining key assumptions, financial projections, and investment metrics to support decision-making by senior management and deliverables to lenders.
  • Analyze complex financial data, property performance metrics, and market trends to identify investment opportunities and mitigate risks associated with real estate transactions.
  • Generate management reporting packages, including variance analysis, performance metrics, and KPIs to provide regular updates on portfolio performance and investment activity to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including asset management and finance, to gather relevant data, conduct due diligence, and ensure alignment in underwriting assumptions and methodologies.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for investors, addressing inquiries and providing regular updates on investment performance and strategy.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors, ensuring their needs and expectations are met with the utmost professionalism and diligence.
  • Assist in the preparation of investor communications, presentations, and reports to enhance transparency and engagement.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within real estate or investment management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and follow detailed instructions accurately.
  • Highly skilled in excel and excel based modeling
  • Strong work-ethic.
