Director of Construction Operations
The Director of Construction Operations will plan, manage, lead, organize, and monitor all aspects of the construction cycle. The Director must be a proven leader with the ability to handle a broad range of projects at different phases. The Director will report to the Owner of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with ownership to develop scope of work, budgets, and project schedules.
- Ability to select, develop and groom future leaders within the firm.
- Strong working knowledge of NYC building codes, procedures and permitting.
- Responsible for leading medium to large construction projects.
- Meet and communicate project details with clients, contractors and vendors.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Promotes a strong team culture, handles situation/s in a diplomatic manner.
- Schedule periodic visits to evaluate progress, practices, and overall project standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Construction Management and/or Architecture.
- Multiple years of working across commercial/residential projects
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (including Microsoft Project)
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment (office and field).
- Possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
